Where to Watch the Ball Drop on New Year’s Eve in NYC? Right Below It!
There are just a few weeks left, but it’s not too late to plan your New Year’s Eve in NYC. .
Even back in 1906, when The Knickerbocker Hotel first hosted revelers as they watched the crystal ball drop, ringing in the New Year in Times Square was a big deal. Nestled on the corner of 41st and Broadway, The Knick offered privileged party-goers a glamorous escape from the masses to usher in the new year. Champagne, lobster and bursts of laughter filled the chambers as the ball descended in Times Square.
A century later, the Swarovski ball drop is one of the nation’s favorite traditions, and The Knick has reclaimed its role as the best place in New York City to celebrate New Year’s.
To welcome 2017, the hotel is offering a package for guests. Bon vivants can watch the ball drop from an uber-exclusive soiree atop St. Cloud roof lounge, where they can reserve one of several skypods for an extra-private view.
For a hint at what’s to come, watch the video below of last year’s New Year’s Eve party at St. Cloud, where merrymakers sipped champagne and danced until early morning.
