All About Aaptiv
The Knick is excited to have partnered with fitness app Aaptiv, which offers fitness classes led by expert personal trainers, all from the comfort of your phone. Heralded as the ideal workout app for introverts and on-the-go fitness fans, Aaptiv allows users to skip crowds, sweaty equipment, and unwanted technique recommendations from their gym’s friendly resident fitness fanatic. During your stay at The Knick, you can enjoy complimentary, unlimited access, using it at The Knick’s fitness center or in your own room.
What kinds of workouts does it have?
All kinds! When you sign up, you’ll answer three questions about your goals and fitness habits that will help the app formulate personalized class recommendations. Run outside, build muscle mass, or take a bit of a rest day and do some stretching–Aaptiv makes space for people of all fitness levels. You can even skip sweating and exercise your mind with a quick meditation session!
Who’s training me?
The app’s workouts are formulated and hosted by legitimate trainers, so you can ensure you’re not missing out on the expertise you might be used to getting in group classes. Users love how many trainers the app includes, as they’re able to find their favorites, and save the ones that keep them strong and motivated. Filtering by trainer attitude and philosophy is also a huge perk. Are you looking for tough love or feel-good encouragement? Aaptiv has both.
What else should I know?
You can filter workout by type, trainer, intensity and time limit. You’ll never have to worry about signing up in time to get a spot with your favorite instructor, rushing from work to the studio, or even making time for the standard 60 minute workout. Spend 15 minutes doing high intensity interval training, then get back to your afternoon of emails and meetings.
