Is there valet parking?

Valet parking is available for $150 for standard size cars and $160 for over-sized vehicles. The garage is located at 150 W. 38th Street between 7th Avenue and Broadway.

What parking options are available at the hotel?

Valet parking and self-parking are available. The garage is located at 150 W. 38th Street between 7th Avenue and Broadway. Overnight self-parking rate for a regular vehicle is $75.00 and $85.00 for oversized/SUV’s. Valet parking is $150 for regular vehicles and $160 for oversized/SUV’s.

Can I leave my car in the parking garage after checking out? Will there be an additional charge?

Parking is for a 24 hour time period. There are no in or out privileges.

Is there an airport nearby?

The closest airport to The Knickerbocker Hotel is LaGuardia, which is approximately a 30min drive. JFK International Airport and Newark EWR are an estimated 60min drive.

What will it cost to hire a cab or town car from the airport to the hotel?

A taxi or Uber is approximately $60+tx to the airport one way.

Is there a major train/bus station nearby?

The closest bus depot is the Port Authority on 8th Avenue. Grand Central Station is on Park Avenue, both being on 42nd Street. Eight blocks south of 42nd Street, Penn Station is located on 34th Street.

What’s the best way to get around the city?

Taxi’s and Ubers are readily available to get around the city. Public transportation such as buses and subways are available, as well.

Is there housekeeping service?

Yes, there is daily housekeeping service.

What room options are available at the hotel?

We have several room types offering options with king or queen sized beds; many of our rooms also have sofabeds. We offer connecting rooms as well. We have a variety of different tiered rooms and suites with views positioned towards Times Square or Broadway Street.

What type of in-room technology can I expect?

We have bed side phones, LED tvs, pay per view, wifi and electronic switches for drapes and lights.

Can I have ice sent to my room?

Yes, In Room Dining can provide ice at no additional charge.

I love some of the items in my room, can I purchase them and take home with me?

We do not offer items for sale, however, we can provide the name of product’s Brand.

Are there smoking rooms? And can I smoke in public spaces?

We are 100% non smoking hotel. The rooftop terrace has a space outdoors for smokers.

Do you have room service?

Room Service is available 24 hours a day, offering a light fair and full beverage menu.

Do all of your rooms have private baths?

Yes, each accommodation has it’s own private bathroom.

Are there minibars in the rooms?

We do not offer fully stocked minibars at this time.

Which room amenities are available at the hotel?

We offer Diptyque bath products, feather or hypo allergenic bedding and wifi throughout. Cribs and rollaway beds are available on request.

What are the normal check-in and check-out times?

Checkin is 3pm and checkout is 12 noon.

What happens if I damage the guest room?

There will be a charge to the guest’s folio for any damages.

Can you check in early?

Early checkin is based on availability. We recommend guests pre-register, however, luggage can be stored with Front Desk until room is ready.

How late can we check in?

We offer Front Desk coverage 24 hours a day.

What is required to check-in?

A valid ID and a credit card is required for checkin. Must be 21 years of age or older to checkin.

Can I store my luggage before or after I check out?

The bell desk can store luggage before or after your visit.

Will I be charged for an early departure?

There is no charge for early departures.

Can I have my clothes laundered and dry cleaned?

The hotel offers dry cleaning and laundering services for a fee.

Do you have a shoe shine service?

The hotel offers overnight shoe shine services.

How do I schedule a wake-up call?

The Front Desk can arrange for a wake up call.

If I am traveling on business, what types of services can you support me with?

We offer wifi throughout the hotel, a meeting room and writing desks.

Do you have a gym or fitness center? If so, what type of equipment can I expect?

Our Fitness Center has state of the art equipment and a weight / yoga room.

Where can I securely store my valuables?

All rooms have a safe large enough for a laptop.

Can I send a package to the hotel?

Yes. Packages can be sent to the hotel in advance with eligible address and identification.

Can I bring my pet to the hotel?

We allow small dogs up to 25lbs. There is a pet fee of $300+tx non refundable.

Can a third party pay for my reservation?

We have a link that is available for 3rd party payment.

Does the hotel accept traveler’s checks as payment?

The hotel accepts traveler’s checks with valid id.

Does the hotel require any kind of deposit prior to checking-in?

A credit card is required to secure a reservation. Deposits needed on certain rates and NYE.

What is the nonrefundable reservations policy?

Reservation would require full prepayment and is non cancellable, non refundable.

Will my credit card be charged when I make my reservation?

The credit card would only be charged when a deposit is required.

What is your cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy ranges from 24-48-72 hours prior to arrival.

What type of credit cards are accepted at the hotel?

All major credit cards are accepted (Amex, Visa, Mastercard, etc…).

Is breakfast included?

Breakfast is not included, but is available in Charlie Palmer Restaurant daily or via In Room Dining.

Do kids stay free?

Kids stay free, however, there is a charge for rollaway or sofabed preparation.

Does your hotel offer currency exchange?

We do not offer currency exchange.

Are extra beds or rollaway beds available?

Extra bed/Rollaways are $75+tax per day.

Is there a limit to how long I can stay?

We allow a maximum of 21 days. Any longer requires an agreement.

What should I do and see during my stay?

There are museums, theatre, restaurants and shopping available in the area.

Which popular attractions are close to the hotel?

We are located in the the Theatre District. Rockefeller Plaza is close, as is Bryant Park and Times Square.

What are some of the property amenities at the hotel?

We have St. Cloud Rooftop Bar, Jake’s Café, Charlie Palmer Restaurant and a fitness center.

What food & drink options are available at the hotel?

Charlie Palmer Restaurant is open daily for breakfast and Room Service is available 24 hours a day offering a light fair and full beverage menu. St. Cloud is open for cocktails and light bites from 4:00PM to 11:00PM daily.

What are some popular restaurants close to the hotel?

Charlie Palmer Steak is across the street. There is STK, Carmines and Bryant Park Grill close by.

What are some popular venues close to the hotel?

There are multiple theatres in the area. Madison Square Garden is close too.
