Sip with Pride at Jake’s

For the month of June, proceeds from Jake’s will benefit Queer|Art. Founded in 2009 by filmmaker Ira Sachs, Queer|Art serves as a ballast against this loss and seeks to highlight and address a continuing fundamental lack of both economic and institutional support for LGBTQ+ artists. Their mission is to provide individuals within our community with the tools, resources, and guidance they need to achieve success and visibility for their work at the highest levels of their field. You can learn more about Queer|Art by visitng their website, linked here.

This artwork, featuring recreations for iconic LGBTQ+ landmarks in New York City, was created for The Knickerbocker by artist Mycah Bueché.

About the artist: Mycha Bueché is a multi-hyphenate, latina lesbian creative. Originally from San Antonio, she obtained her education from the University of Wisconsin fine arts program. By day, she is a Senior Art Director at Target, focusing on visual storytelling that is inspirational, empathetic, and culturally relevant. Outside of her day job, she is an independent artist and creator, embracing all mediums to connect with the joy of color and childlike wonder of making. Her work has been featured and awarded by AIGA, The American Advertising Foundation, and Adobe. Mycha is also a dog mom and lives with her partner, Grace, in Jersey City.
